Wedding Photography Tips

A very dear friend of ours is getting married on June 20 and we decided to photograph her wedding as a gift. We’ve assisted photographer friends on weddings before, but this is the first solo wedding photography job we will ever do. To prepare for it I’ve looked up several tips on photographing weddings.

One of my favorite websites for digital photography is Digital Photography School – and they have an article on 21 Tips for for Amateur Wedding Photographers that I find really helpful.

And of course studying other photographers’ work also helps. I have a couple of successful wedding photographer friends who have built their business from ground up in the last five years, Ian Limbaga based in New York and Nelwin Uy based in the Philippines – both of whom I admire a great deal. Studying their photographs give me ideas on how to compose my shots and hope for the best results.

If you have any other resources that can help us with this ambitious undertaking, please feel free to leave us a note.

Hello world!

Hello, world!  As a nine-to-five web developer, I know these words well.  When you’re first learning a new programming language, this is the first output of your first code.  So I thought it fitting to make this the first post of our new blog.

What is this blog about?  Why am I blogging?  You might ask.  It’s simple.  I want to share how you can spice up your events by injecting a little Asian flavor into them.  Find recipes your guests would love, decorating ideas, floral arrangements, photography tips and yes, even articles about developing your own event website.  And I promise, you’ll be able to do it all by yourself!

So visit us often and take all the tips you need.  Here’s to your next awesome celebration!
